I won’t lie, when I first got these I was pretty skeptical. Would I really hear the sound well? Would they bother my ears?
So, I tried them out, and well, I love them, especially for my early morning runs. At first they did rub the top of my ears a bit, but they come with some rubber things to put around them, and that helped stop that. I love that I can hear my music but still hear everything going on around me, which is so important when you are running at 0 dark 30 every morning. These headphones do NOT go in your ears, at all, here is the blurb about how that all works
THE AFTERSHOKZ WAY
Bone conduction is a natural part of the hearing process—sound travels through our eardrums and bones simultaneously. We’ve taken the concept to the next level through development of a suite of proprietary audio technologies and design patents. The result: headphones that deliver unrivaled situational awareness and comfort.
HOW THEY WORK
Transducers guide mini vibrations through the cheekbones to the inner ears, delivering sound without plugging or covering them.
And it works, great, the only issue I have found is for races, first time I used them at a race I wasn’t sure they were on because the noise of race starts is so loud, but, still didn’t mind it, and was nice to be able to hear everything through out the race.
I have had no issues with sweat or moving, and it has been very humid here and I haven’t had a problem at all.
If you are a runner or any athlete who does your thing outdoors, especially in the dark, I would highly recommend getting these, they are super worth it, just for the safety factor.
